Choose Happy!

I truly believe that you are meant to be right where you are right now. That all your experiences have been leading you to this moment: right here, right now.

I also believe that you alone have the power to choose whether you want to continue living as you always have, or start making changes to live a happier, more fulfilling life from a place of empowerment and authenticity.

Every moment of every day we can choose to let our past define the present, or we can choose to find the happy and experience each day with love and gratitude. It’s incredible to experience how merely taking the time to acknowledge and embrace the happy and letting the rest go can change everything.

Working through the exercises I’ve created won’t “fix” you, or the life you’re choosing to live. There’s no book, movie, doctor or program that can promise that. The goal is to help you identify the areas of your life that you’d like to change and give you actionable strategies to implement those changes. I want to help you recognize that you alone have the power to make positive, meaningful decisions that will change your outlook so good things will come to you.

Even if you choose not to purchase any workshops, I dare you to spend the next week acknowledging the happy and letting the rest go. At the end of the week, take a moment to reflect on what changed. At the very least, were you happier during that one week than you had been the week before? When all is said and done, isn’t that what we’re striving for anyway?

When given the choice, Choose Happy!

Let’s make your goals your reality!

How can I support you in your journey from where you are now to where you want to be? If you feel like you need a change in your life and are unsure where to begin, send me a message so I can help you find your starting point.

Why I Do what I do

Mission Statement

To empower individuals to see how accomplished and capable they already are.

Goal

Create communities of individuals who celebrate their own, and each other’s, accomplishments from a place of love and encouragement rather than competition.

If you’ve read this far, you probably want to know more about me, so here goes…

I don’t like talking about myself, telling people my qualifications, background, etc. This is probably because I’ve been trained to not brag or represent myself or to be good at what I do. I’m supposed to do/be better than anyone around me and then wait to see if anyone notices. If I’m lucky, I’ll be acknowledged for what I’ve done and excelled at. But I can’t say it myself, because that would be bragging. And if I am told that I’m ‘amazing’ it’s not something that I can repeat, because that would be bragging, and I’ve been trained not to brag. It’s a vicious circle.*

So how do I tell you about myself without breaking society’s rules?  Yikes! Awkward…

I am a mom, wife, sister, daughter, co-worker, friend and acquaintance who has had enough. I have had enough of society telling me how I should behave. I have had enough of feeling judged, as though I am lacking, or having my ideas repeated back with credit attributed to someone else. I feel my best qualifications to be presenting the information I am, is because I have done extensive research while working through my own midlife crisis trying to figure out who I am.

I have a bachelor’s degree in psychology, I’m a certified life coach, and I have raised two fairly well-adjusted kids. I’ve always been passionate about creating groups of harmonious women, advocating for others, and fighting for the “underdog.” I speak my mind (not maliciously or vindictively) and am often criticized for it. And I’ve had enough. I’ve had enough of being quiet, doing what I’m told even though it’s not in my best interest, and putting others’ happiness ahead of my own. This is why I’m starting a movement to create healthier internal monologues in myself and others. Will you join me?

*I looked it up:  ‘circle’ is the original saying, but ‘cycle’ is also acceptable, so take your pick.
